PURPOSE:To decrease the number of processes of connecting while increasing tensile strength, by setting plastic fiber of an optical fiber cable between the sheath parts of a connector plug and a sleeve and fixing them with an adhesive. CONSTITUTION:Around the external circumference of the terminal part 12 of the sheath parts 9 of a plug connecting with fiber 2 and held mechanically, the end part of plastic fiber 3 is extended uniformly being untangled radially, and then a sleeve 10 whose internal diameter is a little bit greater than the external diameter of the terminal part 12 is inserted into the terminal part 12, sandwiching the plastic fiber 3 between the both. In inserting this sleeve 10, an adhesive 13 is dripped over the plastic fiber 3 to anchor the plastic fiber 3 to the internal surface of the sleeve 10 and the external surface of the terminal part 12, and then a hood 11 is inserted by being screwed around the screw part of the sheath part 9, thus completing the connection. |
