PURPOSE:To prevent a bad influence to be exerted on a primary side exhaust turbosupercharger even if such trouble that disables a valve for the opening occurs by varying the selection characteristic so that the region where an exhaust cut valve is opened is set to the higher speed side when the trouble of the exhaust cut valve is detected. CONSTITUTION:When the trouble of an exhaust cut-valve 11 is detected by a trouble detecting means, the selection characteristic is changed by a selection characteristic varying means 35 so that the region where the exhaust cut-valve 11 is opened is set to the higher speed side. Accordingly, the region in which a secondary side turbosupercharger 10 is operated is made narrow. Accordingly, in the extreme case, the operation region of the secondary side turbosupercharger 10 is set at zero, and the chance of the transmission of the large supercharge pressure from the primary side turbosupercharger 9 to the blower Cs side of the secondary side turbosupercharger 10 can be reduced or completely eliminated. |
