PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality picture without uneven density by reading and discriminating the uneven density caused in the print of a test pattern so as to correct the print density characteristic. CONSTITUTION:An input sensor section 1 consists of a photoelectric conversion element such as a CCD and a driver scanning the element and applies read scanning of an original. A picture data of the original (8-bit of each picture element) of the original read by the input sensor section 1 is fed sequentially to an input correction circuit 2. The input correction circuit 2 quantizes a picture data for each picture element into a relevant digital data and the shading correction or the like correcting uneven sensitivity of the CCD sensor or uneven illuminance by a lighting light source is implemented by the digital arithmetic processing. |
