PURPOSE:To enable a high quality transfer image to be formed on a material to be transferred by a method wherein the title image forming device using powder ink equipped with an ink peeling layer as an ink supporting medium is used, and powdery ink is used. CONSTITUTION:A signal current is applied to an anisotropic conductor layer 11 of an ink supporting medium 1 with an electrifying recording head 2. A signal current flows from the anisotropic conductor layer to a conductor layer 13 via a heating layer 12, and is earthed from a return path contact roll 7 via a side edge conductor roll. In that case electricity is converted to thermal energy in the heating layer, and generated thermal energy is thermally propagated to an ink peeling layer 14 through the conductor layer. Besides, powdery ink is supplied onto a surface of the ink peeling layer from a powdery ink supplier 3. The powdery ink is loaded on a conductor sleeve of an ink feed roll 31 under a state of being mixed in a magnetic carrier to be carried, is dissolved in a heated part on a surface of the ink peeling layer to be temporarily fixed to, and an ink image 32 is formed. Then, the ink supporting medium 1 passes through an ink heating transfer roll 4 and a back up roll 5 under a condition of being in contact with a material to be transferred 6 to be heated, and a transfer image 33 is formed. |
