PURPOSE:To transfer data at high speed by providing a photodiode to receive the amplified output light of the other side luminous flux separated by a beam splitter by setting a junction plane into a non-orthogonal and non-parallel state with the polarization direction of incident light. CONSTITUTION:A focus track signal detector 9 to receive the luminous flux of one side separated by the beam splitter 8 is provided. Simultaneously with this, a semiconductor laser beam amplifier 10 to receive the luminous flux of the other side separated by the beam splitter 8 by setting the junction plane into the non-orthogonal and non-parallel state with the polarization direction of the incident light and the photodiode 11 to receive the output light of it are provided. Thus, since a signal can be detected by sufficient quantity of light even at the time of the high-speed rotation of a magneto-optical disk, the data can be transferred at high speed without increasing the light emitting power of a light source 4. |
