摘要 PURPOSE:To effect a high-accuracy positioning of a terminal array and a lead array by a method wherein a relative quantity of disaccord between the terminal array and the lead array is detected based on an image information which takes in an image extending along the lead array and the terminal array of an electronic device and then the electronic device is moved so as to eliminate the disaccord. CONSTITUTION:A TAB device 11 supplied for a supply position by a device supply part is attracted by a mounting head while it is approximately positioned so that a lead array 12 extends in X-axis direction in this supply position. Meanwhile, a liquid crystal cell 16 is set on a working table operation so that it is positioned with its peripheral part extending in X-axis direction. The TAB part 11 attracted by the mounting head is transported in Y-axis direction and is stopped in the opposite position to said peripheral part of the liquid crystal cell 16 across a slight gap. At this time, a device positioning equipment effects the positioning of terminals 15a of a terminal array 15 of the liquid crystal cell 16 and leads 12a of the lead array 1 of the TAB part 11.
