PURPOSE:To perform the backup of data in a memory card by comprising a device in such a way that the stored content of the memory card is accumulated in memory when detecting the fact that a signal level from the memory card goes down less than a constant value. CONSTITUTION:When the loading of an electronic pocketbook is detected by the signal from an electronic pocketbook detecting part 14, it is checked whether or not sufficient power source is supplied to a loaded electronic pocketbook by the signal from a signal level monitoring part 17, and when it shows that it approaches a dead battery, a control part 10 receives data from the electronic pocketbook, and transfers it to the control part 20 of a main device 2, and stores it in an area for backup in the memory 21. When the transfer of all the data are completed, an instruction to request password input is displayed on a display part 16 to conform backed up data to a user, and when the input is confirmed, it is transferred to the memory 21. In such a way, it is possible to surely prevent the data of the electronic pocketbook missing due to the running down of a battery without increasing the cost of the electronic pocketbook. |
