<p>PURPOSE:To evade the unnecessary loss of a power supply by providing a means which switches automatically the power supply state based on the power- off control information inputted into the character information. CONSTITUTION:A switch means (CPU 1) switches automatically the power supply state to an OFF state from an ON state in print mode of a printer 12 if the power-off control information is inputted into the character information with the input operations of keys (function keys, etc.) of a keyboard 3. In other words, the power supply can be automatically and immediately cut off at a desired position during the print processing or right after the print of the final character is over by inputting the power-off control information into a desired place of the character information. As a result, the power consumption can be minimized for a character processor.</p> |
