PURPOSE:To improve dispersion of particles by using magnetic powder for magnetic recording, described in general composition (Fe)a(Sn)b(Si)c(M<1>)d(M<2>)e(O)f with small deviation of magnetic coercive force, large saturation magnetization, small average particle size, uniform particle size distribution, and plate form ratio. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic powder for magnetic recording is composed of the following chemical elements in general composition (Fe)a(Sn)b(Si)c(M<1>)d(M<2>)e(O)f, where M<1> shows at least one element selected out of Ba, Sr, Pb, and Ca, M<2> shows at least one element selected out of Cu, Mn, Mg, Mo, Ni, W, Sb, Nb, and Zn. The a, b, c, d, e, and f show atomic number of Fe, Sn, Si, M<1>, M<2> respectively, and the value range are a=0.8-18.0, b=0.01. 6.0, c=0.01-8.0, d=0.3-6.0, and e=0.01-6.0, and f is the atomic number of oxygen which satisfy the atomicity of other element. It becomes possible to manufacture the magnetic recording media with required magnetic coercive force constantly and precisely by usage of this magnetic powder. |
