PURPOSE:To make a time limit set in a timer, coincide with an actual time in either case of 50Hz or 60Hz of power supply frequency by a method wherein the time limit of washing operation is controlled by a timer equipped with a timer motor consisting of a synchronous motor. CONSTITUTION:A frequency discriminating circuit 21 as a frequency discriminating means is connected between power supply lines 17a, 17b and discriminates whether a frequency is 50Hz or 60Hz. A control circuit 22 and a gate trigger circuit 23 output a phase control signal for 50Hz or 60Hz to input it into the gate trigger circuit 23 and control the ON/OFF of a triode AC switch 19. A timer motor 12 approaches the OFF point of a cam switch with the same speed when the power supply frequency is either 50Hz or 60Hz to put the cam switch 15 OFF and disconnect the electricity of the timer motor 12 and a washing machine motor 20. According to this method, the scale indication of a timer knob can be one kind. |
