APPARATUS FOR CUTTING COVERED BALL

PURPOSE:To cover contents with an outer cover and make the thickness of the outer cover dough uniform by preparing an enclosure opening and closing to the center with polyhedrons of the same shape rotating about respective points at positions of an equally divided circumference as fulcra and cutting a material passing therethrough with the polyhedrons. CONSTITUTION:Polyhedrons 10 of the same shape rotating about points at positions of an equally divided circumference with a radius (R) as fulcra are provided. A supporting shaft 29 of a base 13 is fitted into a hole formed on each polyhedron 10 to loose fit a slot 14 to a working pin 21 additionally attached to a rotating plate 20 slidably rotating on the base 23. A cam follower 28 is moved with a cam 26 by rotation of a main shaft 43 and driving is transmitted through an arm 27 and a rod 25 to a driving pin 22 with a guide bar 24. The rotating plate 20 is rotated to move the polyhedrons 10. The base 23 is vertically movably fitted to the main shafts 34 and 34'. Cams 31 and 31' are pivoted on the main shafts 34 and 34' on both sides and cam followers 33 of base arms 32 extending from the base 23 are fitted in grooves of the cams 31 and 31'. The vertical movement of the base 23 is operated synchronously with the opening and closing of an enclosure formed with the polyhedrons 10 by rotation of the cam 26.
