PURPOSE:To enable optimization of a discharge recovery process by electing one of sequence devices and starting the selected sequence device to allow it to run the discharge recovery process based on the values of demand for sequence start and sequence priority set previously to each sequence device. CONSTITUTION:Recovery process control task 1 selects a notified identification code and further, an optimal discharge recovery process with an interpretation of predetermined values of priority, and starts either one of a module for running an adherence recovery process 4, the first module for running recovery process 5 or a module for running wetted non-discharge recovery process 6. The module for running adherence recovery process 4 runs a process of making the porous material member of a recovery cap part 110 come in contact with the discharge orifice formation area of a recording head part 107. The first module for running recovery process 5 runs specified frequency of blank discharge. In addition, the module for running wetted non-discharge recovery process 6 runs a process of making a porous material member come in contact with the discharge orifice formation area of the recording head part 107. |
