PURPOSE:To form a nonaqueous electrolytic secondary battery having excellent performance by forming negative electrode materials such a fusible alloy possible to store and release Li as Al into sheet form, and coating the surface with C. CONSTITUTION:A sample electrode 5 formed by cutting an alloy sheet 1 having a determined thickness into, for example 20mm width and 25mm length, and spot-welding it to a Ni expand 2 as a core material is composed in a H-shaped cell 9 partitioned by a separator 8 together with a counter electrode 6 and a reference electrode 7, and a nonaqueous electrolyte is injected thereto to perform constant-current charge and discharge. In a battery using the alloy sheet and Al as the negative electrode materials, the surface of the alloy sheet 1-9 is coated with C. Hence, even if the sheet repeats expansion and contraction in accordance with charge and discharge, causing a charge in form, it can be prevented from falling from the core material. Further, collection can be performed, the reduction in charge and discharge capacity accompanying cycle is minimized, and the occurrence of internal short-circuit and firing can be prevented. |
