It facilitates the centralized reading of meters 1 which generate or emit pulses and facilitates the invoicing of consumption, it has a plurality of pulse-memorization units 2 connected together in parallel and enclosed in a case or grouping module 3 which is connected to a portable reader interface circuit 4 which is in turn connected to a conventional portable computer 5 in which is included a program which indicates the day's route covering the subscribers whose readings are to be collected; in order to interrogate each of the pulse-memorizing units 2 simultaneously, these units transferring the different statuses of each meter 1 to the portable reader interface circuit 4 and from there to the conventional portable computer 5, from where they are transferred to a central computer for billing. <IMAGE>
