PURPOSE:To manufacture a thin battery excellent in flexibility and airtightness by treating a surface part making contact with a sealing body on the peripheral part of a terminal plate with a processing solution mainly containing bichromate. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral parts or parts to be sealed of stainless sheets used as sheet positive and negative terminal plates are degreased by 1,1,1- trichloromethane. Thereafter, they are dipped in a processing solution in the state masked with the sealed and adhered parts being left, washed with water, and dried. They are worked into a positive electrode terminal plate 1 provided with a positive electrode mixture 3 and a negative electrode terminal plate 2 provided with a negative electrode 4, and laminated through a separator 5, and an epoxy adhesive 6 is injected between the terminal plates followed by heating and hardening, whereby a thin battery is formed. In this case, as the processing solution used in the state leaving the sealed and adhered parts, those mainly containing bichromates are used. |
