PURPOSE:To automatically set up an accoustic mode to an optimum mode by utilizing a function capable of deciding the sort of an accoustic source in accordance with the level of correlation between spectrum patterns. CONSTITUTION:A fast Fourier transformer 6 executes the frequency spectrum analysis of an original signal generated from a signal source 2 and stores a spectrum pattern in each prescribed time in a memory 7 and a computing ele ment 8 computes the correlation between respective frequency spectral patterns. The Fourier transformer 6, the memory 7 and the computing element 8 are connected to the signal source 2 in series and their output sides are connected to a sound field mode parameter control input part in a sound field creating device 3. Since the characteristics of reverberation signal in the output signal of an accoustic device 1, i.e. a delay time, a signal level, or frequency characteristics, are controlled in accordance with the degree of correlation obtained by the element 8, the accoustic mode of the device 3 can be automati cally switched and set up to the optimum mode in accordance with the sort of the accoustic source. Thereby, a sound field effect displaying the presence in a concert-hall can be obtained in accordance with musical genre. |
