Improvements to automobile lighting circuits. The improvements consist of supplying power to the main 1 and dipped 2 headlamps of the vehicle, from its battery 3, via the wiper 5 of a relay 6 which in its de-energised position closes the circuit corresponding to the main beam 1 and whose coil 7 is energised via a photocell 8 that detects the presence of another vehicle by means of the light it emits, causing the automatic changeover of the relay to the position that switches on the dipped beam 2, a situation that is maintained until the light stimulus acting on the photocell 8 ceases. <IMAGE>
