The two strips of material are drawn between the two parallel application rollers (2,3) supported by the frame (1). The frame carries a roll (5) of the first material strip (6) parallel to the application rollers, and is pivotable around an axis at right-angles to the roller. It is also movable forwards and backwards in the roller axial direction. - The application rollers are made of elastic material, and have an operating component (7) at each end to regulate their application pressure. A monitor (20,21) monitors the second material strip (10) slightly ahead of the rollers so that if its side edge deviates laterally from a predetermined reference line a signal is passed to one or the other of the operating components (7). |
