The invention relates to a machine for picking up objects, including: - a chassis (3); - rolling bearing means (4) associated with the said chassis; and, - means (6) for conveying the said objects, which means are linked to the chassis and allow movement of the objects from the ground towards a container provided on the chassis. According to the invention, the said conveyance means (6) comprise: - two conveyors (9, 10) inclined with respect to the longitudinal plane of the said chassis and respectively including endless belts (11, 12) joined by one of their lengths (strands) (11A, 12A) moving in the same direction, the upper ends (9A, 10A) of the conveyors being close to the said container (8), while the lower ends (9B, 10B) are close to the ground (7), forming a convergent entry (14) towards the adjoining lengths of the belts; - means (15) for driving one of the said conveyors; and, - a rotary member (16) linked to the chassis and in contact with the ground, making it possible to throw the said objects towards the convergent entry (14) of the conveyors towards the adjoining lengths of the said belts (11, 12). <IMAGE>
