PURPOSE:To prepare an intraocular lens without performing the matching of the optical axis of an optical part and the cutting and grinding of the optical part by bringing the peripheral edge of the under surface of an upper mold into contact with the upper surface of a lower mold to form a gap having the shape of an intraocular lens precursor between the under surface of the upper mold and the upper surface of the lower mold. CONSTITUTION:An upper mold 10 is placed on a lower mold 20 so that the peripheral edge 13 of the under surface 11 thereof is brought into contact with the upper surface 21 of the lower mold 20. Whereupon, since the radius of curvature of the convex spherical surface of the under surface 11 of the upper mold 10 is larger than that of the concave spherical surface of the upper surface 21 of the lower mold 20, a gap 5 having the shape of an intraocular lens precursor 3 can be formed between the under surface 11 of the upper mold 10 and the upper surface 21 of the lower mold 20. Further, the vertical center axis L of the under surface 11 of the upper mold 10 can be freely revolved in the curved surface direction of the upper surface 21 of the lower mold 20. Therefore, even when the position and angle of the upper mold 10 to the lower mold 20 are set to any position and angle so far as the vertical center axis L is shaken within an angle theta, the gap 5 having the same shape can be formed and the intraocular lens precursor 3 having a desired shape can be molded. |
