<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a cassette loading part and to reduce its size by equipping the cassette loading part with a lid opening/closing mechanism which opens and closes a lid while a tape cassette is loaded. CONSTITUTION:While the tape cassette 6 equipped with the lid 7 is loaded at a specific position for loading into the cassette loading part, the lid 7 is opened by the lid opening/closing mechanism, a recording and reproducing head, a loading member, etc., are inserted into the cassette main body 6a, and then the lid 7 is closed by the lid opening/closing mechanism. Thus, while the tape cassette 6 is loaded in the cassette loading part and the lid 7 is held closed, the tape is loaded to the recording and reproducing head and recording and reproduction is carried out. Consequently, a tape cassette energizing means is simplified and the maximum outward shape size of a mechanism deck itself can be made nearly equal to the size of the tape cassette, thereby attaining the reduction of both thickness and size.</p> |
