PURPOSE:To prevent adhesion of dust or dirt onto the surface of a case due to static electricity and to improve the durability by forming a coated layer including an electric conducting substance to an outer major surface of the case and specifying a specific resistance to the main surface at the outside of the case. CONSTITUTION:A caddy 1 consists of a case 2 and a tray 3 inserted in the case 2 and an information recording medium A is placed to the tray 3. The case 2 and the tray 3 are locked by a lock section 4, and the information recording medium A is not extracted from the caddy 1 at the outside of an information recording medium recording and reproducing device normally. Then coating layers 25, 26 including an electric conducting substance to outer major surfaces 21, 22 of the case 2, resulting that the specific resistance of the outer major surfaces 21, 22 of the case 2 is 5X10<13>OMEGA.cm or below. Thus, the charging possibility of the outer major surfaces 21, 22 of the case 2 is less. Then adhesion of dust or dirt onto the surface of a case due to static electricity is prevented and the durability is improved. |
