PURPOSE:To effectively use a radio wave by using the information reception control to transmit transmission information from a base station only once. CONSTITUTION:In a receiver, it is discriminated by a CPU 6 whether information received after a call number is character display information or special control information. If it is special control information and a certain determined code, it is recognized that character display information to be essentially displayed is transmitted in accordance with certain procedures, and character display information is received in accordance with these procedures and is stored in a RAM 7 and is displayed on a device DISP 10. By this function, a certain call number is first transmitted and the special control code is transmitted immediately after though many specific subscribers to which the same information should be transmitted are divided to several groups. Consequently, this receiver is set to the character display information waiting state. Thus, all subscribers can receive information when character display information is transmitted only once thereafter.
