The subject of the present invention is a device for continuous packaging of trays. It consists of the combination, on the one hand, of two lines of endless belt conveyors, one for the baskets intended to receive several trays (12) and the other for the trays themselves, on the other hand, of automatic means making it possible to load the said trays into the baskets, the latter then being conveyed towards the cooking unit, then, if appropriate, towards the cooling unit, the said means being composed of an elevator and of a basket transfer device (2), of a tray loader (3), of a basket pusher (4) and, finally, of a conveyor/elevator (5) with rollers, the whole assembly being controlled by a computer (6). It is intended for equipping units for the industrial preparation of dishes for subsequent consumption. <IMAGE>
