A stamp comprises a casing (10) provided with a handle (13). A push-button (17) is mounted on top of the handle. A mounting (20) is connected to the button (17) by a pin (22) and can be housed inside the casing. A plurality of grooves (327) are defined in the bottom of a lower container (32). An upper container (31) and the lower container (32) can be inserted into the mounting (20). A plurality of blocks (33) each bear a letter, a digit or a symbol engraved (carved) into their bottom surface. The blocks are arranged and supported inside the grooves. When the button is pushed downwards, the blocks are displaced towards the bottom, thereby printing a surface to be stamped. <IMAGE>
