The subject of the present invention is an ashtray characterised in that it is made up of a pocket made from a flexible material such as metal, aluminium or paper lined with aluminium, which is flame-resistant (fireproof), covered with a coating such as a plastic film enabling the sides of the pouch to be sealed, thereby ensuring that the said pouch is airtight, the paper lined with aluminium, or the flexible complex, or the heat-sealable layer, or the glue, are fireproofed, the site of the sealing is coated with a weakly adhering adhesive, or with a glue which permanently seals the pocket which is coated on the back with an adhesive product, enabling it to be attached on to something. These adhesive pockets enable the user to get rid of ashes and lighted stubs at any time, they can be stuck on to cigarette packets and bigger ones can be used by the public and are easily replaceable; finally, as barbecue ash pan pockets, they can be used for recovering the ashes and the unused charcoal.
