摘要 PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture a bimetal for sliding bearing at a low cost by heating the copper alloy powder up to the specific temp. under reducing atmosphere after preheating it with high frequency induction heating which laying copper alloy powder on a steel back plate and executing sintering to the copper alloy powder and joining it. CONSTITUTION:According to the demand, on the steel back plate 1 forming copper plating layer, the copper alloy powder 2 of copper-lead alloy, lead-bronze alloy, bronze alloy, etc., is laid. These are passed through a high frequency heating furnace 3 and preheated to near Curie point of the steel with the high frequency heating under reducing atmosphere. It is desirable that this preheating is executed with a quick heating by using the frequency of >=100KHz. Successively, these are passed through an electric resistant furnace 4 or a gas furnace and heated to 770 - 950 deg.C under reducing atmosphere. B this method, the copper alloy powder 2 is sintered and this sintered layer is joined to the steel back meal 1, and this is desirably rolled to make the sintered layer dense. Further, the sintering in a short time can be executed and the bimetal for sliding bearing having good quality is obtd. at a low cost under high productivity.
