<p>PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a steel sheet and its threadability, by automatically controlling the roll bending action at a point of time wherein the tip of a steel sheet is bitten by a rolling stand concerned. CONSTITUTION:A detecting signal of a bite detector 4 installed in a former stand 2 of a tandem mill, and a signal of a pulse generator 6 installed in work rolls 5, 5 of the stand 2, are inputted to a counter 7. The counter 7 counts the pulse signal from a point of time wherein a detecting signal is inputted, and the output of the counter 7 is inputted to a comparator 12. The comparator 12 compares the inputted count value with a distance (distance between the stands 1, 2) presetted in a distance setter 13; when these compared values become equal, an equivalent signal is inputted to a bending changeover valve 10, and hereby, the bending action for a latter stand 1 is controlled. As a result, the bending control for the stand 1 is performed at a point of time wherein the tip of the steel sheet 3 is bitten by the stand 1.</p> |
