PURPOSE:To finely adjust optical attenuation by adjusting the interval between the opposite ferrule of an optical cable connection part with a space adjusting nut. CONSTITUTION:A plug-side optical cable connection part 11 is inserted into left and right optical connectors 9A and 9B. The part of the ferrule 4 of this connection part 11 has its optical axis aligned by a split sleeve 10 at all times. The space adjusting nut 1 is used to adjust the interval of a joint surface 8 and threads are cut inside of an external ring and an optical connector side so as to adjust the interval by rotating the external ring. Further, guide pins 7 are provided at two upper and lower positions so as the play of the joined surface 8 and the breakage of the ferrule 4 and sleeve 10 due to abnormal pressure and the connection part 11 is moved axially to obtain the desired optical attenuation. |
