The container system has profiled plates with sockets for the workpieces which are to be stored. The profile of the plates is such that each two plates form a honeycomb which can completely enclose the workpiece placed therein. The contact faces of plates stacked on top of each other take up the weight of the stack. Shaped elements centre the individual plates so that no shear forces can occur. The container system can have a base and cover plate which are each profiled on their side facing the stack whilst their outside is smooth so that several container systems can be stacked up. USE/ADVANTAGE - The container system can store different types of workpieces.
