HYDROGENATION TREATMENT OF HYDROCARBON OIL

PURPOSE:To remove sulfur from a hydrocarbon oil in high efficiency by carrying out the hydrogenation treatment in plural stages using a catalyst supported on a silica or zeolite carrier in the 1st reaction zone and using a catalyst supported on an alumina carrier in the 2nd reaction zone thereafter. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogenation treatment of a hydrocarbon oil is carried out by using 10-80wt.% (based on the total catalyst) of a catalyst produced by supporting a hydrogenation-active metal component on a silica and/or zeolite carrier in the 1st hydrogenation reaction zone and using 20-90wt.% of a catalyst produced by supporting a hydrogenation-active metal component on an alumina carrier in the 2nd hydrogenation reaction zone thereafter.
