<p>PURPOSE:To guarantee a smooth operation by converting the spool of a converting device by opening and closing lower side and upper side switch valves by the strike of the piston of an air motor, without connecting the spool of the converting device and the piston of an air motor. CONSTITUTION:This plunger pump 1 suitable for conveying a high viscosity material has a piston 3 connected to the upper part of a plunger built in an outer tube 2 and driven by air, and an air converting device 4 is provided at the side of the piston 3. And an upper side and a lower side air feeding passages 17 and 18 connected to an upper and a lower pressure chambers 7 and 8 are provided at the upper part and the lower part of the side wall 16 of a cylinder 5, and communication passages 21 and 23 to communicate to the upper and lower pressure chambers 7 and 8 through an upper and a lower switch valves 20 and 22 are provided at the upper end and the lower end of the side wall 16. The above switch valves 20 and 22 are being opened when the motor 3 reaches the top dead center or the bottom dead center and pushes valve rods 24 and 24a, the spool 42 of the converting device 4 is slided and displaced linking to the operations of the switch valves 20 and 22, and the flow ways of the air led to the pressure chambers 7 and 8 are converted.</p> |
