发明名称 CONTINUOUS MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR GAS CONCENTRATION
摘要 PURPOSE:To make continuous measurement with high accuracy by determining the concn. of a combustible gas from the electromotive force between an inner electrode and outer electrode for detecting the combustible gas and determining the concn. of oxygen from the electromotive force between an inner electrode and outer electrode for detecting oxygen. CONSTITUTION:A measuring gas MG is introduced to the inner side of a zirconia solid electrolyte sensor 6 and a reference gas RG is supplied to the outer side of the sensor 6. The combustible gaseous components contained in the gas MG induce a catalyst reaction when the sensor 6 is heated up to the temp. at which an oxygen ion deriv. is generated. Consequently, the electromotive force corresponding to the residual oxygen quantity from which the oxygen consumed by the reaction is subtracted is generated between the electrodes 10b and 8b and a detection signal is outputted between terminals E2 and E3. Since the electrode 10a is constituted of the electrode film extremely little in the catalyst power, only the combustible gas in the gas MG generates the electromotive force and generates the detection signal between the terminals E1 and E3. The continuous and exact measurement of the oxygen and combustible gas in the measuring gas is made by subjecting these two detection signals to signal processing.
