The razor head with a blade unit (1), has a single (8) or double blade (8, 8') permanently fixed onto a platform (7) in a plastics housing (4). A spacer (10) fits between the edges in the case of a double blade, and a wire can be wound round the blade unit and housing. The housing contains an opening (9), accessible from the top, through which the blade is inserted onto the platform, followed by a cover cap securing it permanently in position.
