A optimal temp. of food in the food container is maintained without energy supply for a long time by using the thermal storage material, e.g. laulic acid, palmitic acid, paraffin wax, candle wax, etc.. A food quantity and thermal storage material requirement in the food container for maintaining the optimal temp. of food is calculated by the following equation. The equation is M = M'(C/P)(Tg-Tr) [(exp(KDt)-1/exp(KDt) + 1 = αM'. In the equation, M is thermal storage material requirement (g), M' is food quantity (gr) , C is specific heat of food (cal/gr. deg.C).
