摘要 PURPOSE:To void the deterioration of radiation pattern and the variation of electromagnetic wave axis, by locating a heat dissipation conductive element between a ferrimagnetic substance and a shield pipe, in a Faraday optical rotary power type reversible phase shifter used for a phased array radar. CONSTITUTION:An element antenna 11 of a phased array antenna is connected to a power feeding circuit 13 via a phase shifter 12. To obtain a specified heat dissipation pattern, a microwave power given to phase shifters at the center and the circumference is different, resulting that the temperature of the phase shifters is high at the center and lower at the circumference. Thus, the heat produced in a magnetic substance body 1 is given externally, by locating a heat dissipation conductive element 14 between a ferrimagnetic substance 1 and a shield pipe of a phase shifter 12. Thus, the deterioration of a radiation pattern and the variation of electromagnetic wave axis due to thermal external disturbance can be avoided.
