PURPOSE:To obtain an assured sprinkling action free of suction of air, by providing a rib for suppressing waves generated on a liquid surface concurrently with sprinkling, which rib is erected on a bottom part of a water pan of a sprinkler in a portable main body to a level above the surface of water collected in the pan. CONSTITUTION:A rib 71 is erected on a bottom part of a water pan 56, in one body with the pan. The height of the rib 71 is so set that the rib 71 always protrudes above the surface of water collected in the pan 56. The rib 71 surrounds a sprinkler 58, and is in a split form concentrical with the sprinkler 58. Even if waves are generated at the surface of collected water in the pan 56 as the sprinkler 58 pumps up the water, the rib 71 functions as a breakwater to suppress the waving on the inner side thereof. Consequently, an opening part at the lower end of the sprinkler 58 located on the inside of the rib 71 is constantly held below the substantially flat surface of the collected water in the pan 56. Therefore, water can be pumped up and sprinkled uniformly at a constantly fixed rate. |
