Clamp for sail of sailboard - consists of cable wound around roller which is rotated by handle
摘要
The clamping and trimming assembly for the sail of a sailboard. The cable (5) attached to the sail passes through a hole (11) in the apex of the boom (1). The hole runs into a slot in which a roller is fitted. This roller (2) is mounted on a shaft (3) which can be rotated by means of a handle (4). The cable passes around the roller and then through a narrow slot with ribs projecting inwards which grip the cable, when the sail has been trimmed. Alternatively, the roller may be wide enough to receive two turns of the cable and thus maintain the cable tension.
