The pellet of Cr ore for high metalization rate is prepared by mixing 100 wt.% Cr ore, 35 wt.% or less furnace slag, a fixed amount of cokes and 3.5 wt.% bentonite as a binding agent, adding water, moulding, drying and deoxiding. The Cr ore contains 32-40 wt.% Cr, 9-20 wt.% Fe and 40-59 wt.% gangue of MgO, SiO2, Al2O3 etc.. The furnace slag contains 30-40 wt.% Fe, 25-40 wt.% carbon and 20-45 wt.% gangue. The mixed cokes is equel to the amount substracted carbon in furnace slag from carbon which dioxides the all CrO2 and Fe2O3.
