PURPOSE:To eliminate an uncertain process so as to improve a semiconductor device in productivity and reliability by a method wherein a fastener used for fitting a lead wire to a lead terminal is provided to the leg of the lead terminal integrally. CONSTITUTION:A fastener 4 extending in a rectangular form is provided to both the sides of the leg 3b of a lead terminal 3 adjacent to the joint of the leg 3b with a frame 2 respectively. The fasteners 4 are subjected to a bending process to be formed into nearly a cylindrical shape or a U-shaped form so as to be adapted for connecting a lead wire 21. When the fastener 4 is formed, it is formed making its dimensions and shape adapted for a fastening jig which can be used for fastening this type of terminal with a lead wire and is already supplied in a market, whereby it can be fastened taking advantage of the jig concerned, and it is convenient for a user. When a light emitting diode 11 is connected with the lead wire 21, the lead wire 21 is mechanically and electrically connected to the diode 11 without fail by fastening the fastener 4 with a proper type of fastening jig. |
