<p>PURPOSE:To perform the positioning of the mutual joint parts of thermal heads in a dot unit and to achieve the simplification of adjusting work and the enhancement of drawing quality by providing an image data transfer means for transferring the image data stored in an image memory to the indicated memory region of a positioning memory and an indication means for indicating the memory region of the positioning memory. CONSTITUTION:A positioning setting circuit 15 is connected to a CPU 14 and stores the data specifying the preset printing positions of thermal heads 11 - 13. An image data transfer circuit 17 transfers the image data of predetermined positions stored in an image memory 16 to the indicated memory positions of positioning memories 21, 22, 23 according to the transfer command from the CPU 14. The image data are transferred to buffer memories 24, 25, 26 by one line to be supplied to the thermal heads 11, 12, 13 to perform recording. Since the printing positions of the thermal heads 11 - 13 can be adjusted in a dot unit as mentioned above, the continuity of recording at the mutual joint parts of the thermal head is secured and recording quality can be enhanced and adjusting work can be simplified.</p> |
