PURPOSE:To insert a chip carrier to a narrow region in a state held by carrier holding fittings by at least partly introducing a holder of the fittings into a recess formed on its side so as not to largely protrude from the profile of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:Ends 8a, 8b of tweezers 8 are inserted into recesses 6, 7 formed on a chip carrier 1 to be held therebetween. Then, the carrier 1 is conveyed in a holding state, and placed at a predetermined position A on a board 10. The position A is coated in advance with adhesive such as paste, etc., and the bottom 2 of the carrier 1 can be secured onto the board 10 by pressing. If the recesses are formed on the carrier, at least parts of the holder of holding fittings are contained in the recesses so as not to largely protrude from the profile of the carrier. Therefore, they can be inserted fixedly to a narrow region on the board. |
