PURPOSE:To provide the subject electrode composed of separable lower and upper members respectively equipped with plural electrode plates in a specified condition, capable of readily removing a cell suspension existing between the electrode plates and capable of efficiently electrical-treating the cells. CONSTITUTION:Plural first electrode plates 36 are initially attached to a lower member 3 in parallel to each other and plural second electrode plates 18 are parallelly attached to an upper member 2 separably setting onto the lower member 3 so that the respective second electrode plates 18 may be located between the respective first electrode plates 36 when setting the upper member 2 onto the lower member 3. For treatment of cells using the above-mentioned apparatus, the respective upper and lower members 2 and 3 are united into one body to decrease the distance between the respective electrodes and for removal of a cell suspension existing between the electrodes after completion of the treatment, the respective members are separated to widen the space between the respective electrode plates. |
