THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER MOLDING WITH GRAIN PATTERN AND PREPARATION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic elastomer molding with grain pattern with a deep grain depth and no decrease in mechanical properties by melt-adhering a finely powdered product of a polymer particle consisting of a crystalline olefin polymer part and an amorphous olefin polymer part on the inner surface of a mold for transferring a grain pattern in the presence of a crosslinking agent and forming thereby a grain pattern on the surface. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic elastomer molding with a grain pattern is prepd. by melt- adhering a finely powdered product of a polymer particle consisting of a crystalline olefin polymer part and an amorphous olefin polymer part on the inner surface of a mold for transferring a grain pattern in the presence of a crosslinking agent and forming thereby a grain pattern on the surface. A powder of a mixture contg. the finely powdered product of the polymer particle consisting of the crystalline olefin polymer part and the amorphous olefin polymer part and the crosslinking agent is sprayed on the inner surface of the heated mold 1 for transferring the grain pattern to melt-adhere the powder on the inner surface of the mold 1 and to crosslink it. The powder enters deeply into the inside of the grain treated on the inner surface of the mold 1 and melt-adheres thereon. The thermoplastic elastomer molding with the grain pattern on the surface thereof is obtd. by cooling the mold 1 for transferring the grain pattern.
