PURPOSE:To effect a high-density arrangement of nozzles and reduce the number of electric wirings and the size of a driving part by a method wherein a plurality of nozzle plates having the heating means for melting ink synchronously with the application of ink discharge pressure are provided on the surface of a head body, electrical wirings for transmitting record order to resistance heating means are connected in parallel and common return wirings are connected independently of one another. CONSTITUTION:A head body 1 has thirty-two pressing means 3 and nozzle plates 2, each having a hundred nozzles 4, are arranged correspondingly to each of the pressing means 3. Each of the nozzles 4 is provided with a resistance heating means 5 and voltage is applied to the resistance heating means 5 synchronously with the driving of the pressing means 3. The number of electrical wirings 8 provided to transmit record order signals is a hundred, the same in number as the nozzle 4 and the resistance heating means 5 and such wirings are connected commonly in parallel with the thirty-two nozzle plates 2. Common return wirings 9 are commonly connected with a plurality of the resistance heating means 5 in each nozzle plate 2 but independently of the nozzle plates. Therefore, a high-density arrangement of the nozzle and a reduction in the number of the wirings to the resistance heating means and in the size of a driving part can be realized. |
