TESTING METHOD OF PITCH CIRCLE RUNOUT

摘要

The method measures the pitch circle runout of a gear or a spline. Pins are firmly held in each of the tooth grooves of a product for the each tip of the pins to project outward. The product is rotated at the fixed position so that a gauge measures the outer circle of the rotating pins. The pitch circle runout of each pin is found from relative position of the measured pin.
