DYED PRODUCT AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To obtain a union cloth having excellent resistance in chlorine water without lowering color fastness by fixing a dyed union cloth composed of a polyurethane elastomer fiber containing metal oxide or metal hydroxide with a specific dye-fixing agent. CONSTITUTION:A union cloth composed of a polyurethane elastomer fiber containing metal oxide or metal hydroxide (preferably magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, etc.) e.g. a polyamide fiber is dyed by conventional process and the dyed product is fixed with a dye-fixing agent consisting of an anionic phenolic compound (e.g. phenolsulfonic acid formaldehyde resin) which does not take a quinone structure in contact with an alkali. The objective union cloth containing polyurethane elastomer fiber having excellent resistance in chlorine water can be produced by this process without causing the browning of polyurethane and the lowering of color fastness.
