PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent correction characteristic by connecting a saturable reactor in parallel with a horizontal linearity coil and controlling the inductance in response to the horizontal frequency. CONSTITUTION:A current IL in response to a horizontal frequency fH is supplied to a saturable reactor 21 by a frequency/voltage (current) conversion circuit 22 to adjust the saturation of the saturable reactor 21 and to control the inductance thereby varying the horizontal linearity correction characteristic. The characteristic of a horizontal linearity coil 5 and the saturable reactor 21 is selected to control the parallel connection inductance L of the horizontal linearity coil 5 and the saturable reactor 21 continuously within a variable range 25 depending on an inductance upper limit characteristic 23 and a lower limit characteristic 24. Thus, an excellent characteristic is always obtained. |
