PURPOSE:To minimize power loss of a horizontal output transistor(TR) at all times even when a horizontal amplitude is subject to change by detecting a change in the horizontal amplitude so as to vary a base current of the horizontal output TR. CONSTITUTION:A voltage control voltage source 11 is provided, which detects a voltage of a variable voltage source 5 deciding a horizontal amplitude to vary a base current of a horizontal output TR 4 by varying a primary voltage of a horizontal drive TR 3. That is, when the voltage of the variable voltage source 5 is high, the horizontal amplitude is increased and a collector current of the horizontal output TR 4 is large as shown in solid lines. On the other hand, when the voltage of the variable voltage source 5 is low, the horizontal amplitude is decreased and the collector current of the horizontal output TR 4 is small as shown in broken lines. Thus, the horizontal output TR 4 is driven so as to minimize the power at all times. |
