PURPOSE:To improve critical temperature by sintering the first raw material having specific blend composition and sintering the second raw material having a blend composition obtained by adding Tl and Bi to the resultant sintered compact. CONSTITUTION:The first raw material having blend composition expressed by formula I (1.5<s<2.5; 1.5<z<3.5; 2.5<v<4.5) is sintered at 750-840 deg.C for >=12 hr to give the first sintered compact. The second raw material having a blend composition obtained by adding Tl and Bi to the resultant sintered compact and expressed by formula II (0<p<0.4, 0.5<y<2.5, 1.5<s<2.5, 1.5<z<3.5 and 2.5<v<4.5) is sintered at 800-920 deg.C for 3-60hr to provide the oxide superconductor having crystal composition expressed by formula III (0<p'<10.4, 0.5<y'<1.5, 1.5<s'<2.5, 1.5<z'<3.5 and 2.5<v'<4.5). A raw material having a blend composition obtained by adding Tl, Bi and Pb to the first sintered compact is sintered to provide the oxide superconductor having crystal composition expressed by formula IV (0<p'<0.4, 0<q'<0.4, 0.5<y'<1.5, 1.5<s'<2.5, 1.5<z'<3.5 and 2.5<v'<4.5). |
